Our design response captures Australian timber house frames under construction; a white internal post and beam represent the classic Australian residential house frame. This approach provides the spatial volumes necessary for understanding the furniture in context without breaking the visual connections of the showroom’s open plan.

January’s window set keys off of bold graphics, stripe, pattern, and color in wide strips that layer upon each other. These strips are rolled at the ends at different heights for a wallpaper/interior effect and color accent.

At the outset of the transformation, the bar/club area was pared back to basics and a colour palette of pale purple and black introduced in addition to sections of the walls which were treated to resemble a cement like grey surface.

G-Star RAW by Marc Newson

Australian designer Marc Newson has created a range of clothing featuring bold graphics for clothing brand G-Star RAW. The collection includes t-shirts, hooded jumpers and jackets with printed outlines in contrasting colours and metallic finishes. The jeans in the range feature fake turn-ups that are in fact printed onto the fabric and other motifs reference Newson’s interest in space travel.
