The Wise One lamp by Mammalampa

July 21st, 2011 by retail design blog

Our wise lamp generates an aura of visceral energy and vitality around her. She will organically blend into a rural environment, as well as providing the essence of nature within city apartments. This lamp is made from wood and harnesses the power of the moment when her wood was felled. In the wise one, the harshness of nature is contrasted with the perfect refinement of the same material and highlights the skill of its craftsmen in transcending classical views of the traditional use of wood.

As light shines through the thin ash wood, it creates a luminous atmosphere though a gamma of the colours of sunrise. All of the lighting body’s components are inherently natural and refined right down to the finest details; each log has been selected for its individuality, thus preserving the individual character of each tree. Our wise lamps are available in two different inner colour versions – naturally white and spring green. The collection consists of a ceiling lamp and floor lamp with asymmetrically crossed feet made from two complementary materials (brass and painted metal) which accent the spontaneous character of a felled tree.
