FINKID children clothing concept store by The Store Designers, Erfurt

August 2nd, 2012 by retail design blog

Recently, in an historical building in the old part of Erfurt, a very special store has opened: A new FINKID concept store, created by The Store Designers Cologne. The children clothing store impresses by the combination of modern design and customer friendliness. Adults will enjoy the clearly structured assortment and the children will enjoy that they are picked up at eye level.

The building in the Allerheiligenstrasse 2 in Erfurt is approximately 750 years old. The new FINKID concept store, which opened beginning of July 2012, is perfectly integrated into the old rooms. At the same time the store picks up the symbols which stand for FINKID: Being close to the nature and the spaciousness of Finnland. With simple design and functionality,FINKID follows the aim to sell children clothing which does fit perfectly and looks great at the time.

When creating the shop, The Store Designers Cologne paid special attention to harmonious colour sequences which bring quietude and structure into the room. In the centre stands the special strength of FINKID: The functionality of the goods and the value of the products. The well structured clothings and the clear information support the adults in their choices.

The new FINKID store conzept meats children at eye level, for example the cash desk bends downwards on to children height when paying is due. There is also a step which helps the little ones to look over the desk. The FINKID animal prints symbolise the outdoor-character and the values of the products. The animals are shown in real proportions. This helps the children to understand how tall a bear is and which traps he leaves behind.

Of course there are special chancing rooms: They are derived from the typical Scandinavian summer houses and are available in different sizes. There is even one for the little FINKID bear. With the new FINKID concept store, The Store Designers Cologne created an exceptional shopping paradise for adults and children. – also because of the owner Katja Gräf. With her initiative and courage she made the store opening possible.
