Inside Studio designed the offices of international creative school Rubika, located in Montreal, Canada. Rubika, a distinguished international school from France specializing in animation, design and video games, has implanted a new school in Montreal’s “buzzing” Mile-End quarter. With a limited budget and high design expectations, the project was approached by simplified interventions, while favoring strong gestures of colors, contrasts, volumes, and graphics.

While large volumes in black and yellow regroup all the main services (reception, kitchen, projection screen and teacher’s lounge), all circulation flows through one central area housing different functions (lunch room, workspace and agora), promoting passive interactions between users.

The focal point of this central space is a series of linear “logs”, inspired by bleachers, which create a reconfigurable seating area favoring collaboration between students and teachers while, at the same time, housing the student lockers. Bold gestures in graphics and lighting accessorize the backdrop and animate the space, completing the clear-cut blueprint for this design oriented education center.
