The Dulwich Pavilion by IF_DO, London – UK

The Dulwich Pavilion has been designed as a temporary public structure, which engages with the adjacent buildings, landscape and visitors alike. Conceptually it responds to the solidity and monolithic nature of Sir John Soane’s Gallery building, and the porous, ever-changing nature of the landscape.

Kaleidoscopic Ivy installation by Nendo, Tokyo – Japan

For the exhibition, the school’s headteacher Akane Teshigahara commissioned Nendo to create a site-specific installation that would span the first floor of Tokyo’s Sogetsu Plaza, where the school is based. This space was designed as a stone garden by landscape architect and artist Isamu Noguchi, and is dominated by grey-toned rock that has been carved into different surfaces.

“Chromatogram” installation by Studio Lazerian, Lancashire – UK

Titled “chromatogram”, the installation is composed of fifteen, ten feet tall, walk-in “pods” fabricated entirely from precision-cut and individually printed cardboard modules. Commissioned as part of the “art in manufacturing” series for the national “Festival of Making” in Blackburn, Lazerian borrowed ideas, materials and expertise from the Cardboard Box company.
