Miu Miu has opened a new flagship store in Venice. The store is located in Venice’s Salizada San Moise and sells ready to wear as well as shoes and handbags. Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the store features an entrance and large glass display window with bronzed steel fixtures that face onto the “calle”.

At a clothing store in Kofu, Japan, a geometrical ceiling installation forms a unique lattice roof that separates the shopping area and ‘void’ space. Designer Chikara Ohno says since the space is long and narrow with two opposide facades, he wanted to connect the area inbetween.

Kuyichi, the leading Dutch fashion denim brand and Made-By partner brand, has opened its first stand-alone retail concept store in the UK in Manchester. The Manchester store, located at 28 King Street, marks the beginning of the roll out of Kuyichi across the UK, Ireland and France. The brand is already available in more than 500 points of sale across Europe, as well as in Australia and a number of other countries.

UXUS was invited to create a series of elements for Levi’s most premium collection, “Blue”. The concept was to use modular elements, which could be reconfigured to create a shop-in-shop in various retail environments that express the collections’ hard, modern, sleek look. Inspired by traveling rock bands, UXUS created custom flight cases and other units transformable into apparel presentation fixtures.

The violence we are forced to use on these places can contain the seed of beauty, of contrast, of the unexpected. For example, we happend to create a commercial space restoring the remainings of a Paleochristina church. In the case of Palazzo Bocconi, the building was originally designed with a commercial aim. The volumes are made to be seen as a unity, the sight crosses the whole space. The volumes, the architectures take you by the hand and you cannot do anything but following them.

Mood Swings Apartment Store, Moscow

This unusual interior was created for Mood Swings Apartment Store in Moscow with the help of Fredrick Nilsby and Cyril Duva. The concept was inspired by Alice in Wonderland. There are four spaces divided by different types of wishes a fashion-savvy woman would look for: Simple, Classic, Funny and Avantgarde. These symbols of a woman’s moods embrace the costumers from the minute they walk in.

Despite the rather unexpected pastoral location Föger Woman Pure has been one of the most forward-looking fashion retailers in Austria for the past twenty years.

2D/3D chairs for Issey Miyake by Yoichi Yamamoto Architects, Tokyo

Japanese firm Yoichi Yamamoto Architects has completed ‘2D/3D chairs’ for tokyo fashion labels Issey Miyake store. Featuring a series of traditional dining chairs, the installation transforms from a two dimensional graphic into a tangible piece. The perspective is manipulated creating a unique appearance from different vantage points for onlookers. Graphics of legs in varying perspectives are printed onto a horizontal plane while the chair backs rest upon the surface.
