Karl Lagerfeld store by Plajer & Franz Studio and Laird + Partners, Paris – Updated

On March 1st 2013 the first European store for Karl Lagerfeld Paris opens on boulevard St. Germain. The new store concept was designed and implemented by Berlin based Plajer & Franz Studio in cooperation with Karl Lagerfeld and New York based creative agency Laird + Partners.

Selfridges Personal Shopping is more like an apartment at almost 5000sq ft. The design concept looked to the Selfridges customer and the heart of the brand, the dynamism of the retail experience, and what clients really needed – space to be comfortable in, private and feel more part of an exclusive but cool club.

JUST CAVALLI flagship store, Milan

The main entrance is framed by a concrete doorway while the windows are personalised with metal python print screens. The two floors are connected by a crystal elevator and the original dark stone stairwell in the original historic building that hosts the boutique, which winds up to the first floor decorated with a luminous Just Cavalli python effect.

Prada store at Dubai Mall by Roberto Baciocchi, Dubai

Walls are covered in the hallmark green fabric of Prada stores worldwide, and the beige carpet floor has a green and black border delimiting the perimeter of the two rooms.

The ground floor is dedicated to pleasurable product browsing through innovative display on vintage trunks and private consultation in semi-enclosed VIP seating areas.

David Collins Studio have collaborated with Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen to open their first ever menswear flagship store on Savile Row. Framed panelling, original parquet flooring and a curated glass cube lend the space a unique gallery feel.

Emporio Armani is the Armani label’s contemporary line, and the new store feels urban and modern, with grey silk carpets and lots of glass. If there’s a certain Euro-sleekness to it, that’s no surprise—it shares an aesthetic with new Emporio Armani locations in Barcelona and Paris, and it was conceived by Giorgio Armani and his architects in Milan.
