The retail space has a setting that’s loosely inspired by a basketball court, featuring timber flooring replete with markings, an expansive shelving system laden with sneakers, and an opposite wall lined with a clothing rack full of related apparel pieces.

We had the opportunity to create the best sportswear store in Denmark, and we did. At a large retail space, in one of the biggest shopping centers in Denmark, we designed, developed, and built this very special sport and fashion store. Great efforts in layout and creativity concerning function, materials, and visuals have made this shop simply unique.

Emphasis was placed on the footwear wall with specific focus on flexibility through the use of a custom peg wall system. By introducing glorifier boxes on the peg wall, various feature products can be displayed alongside brand specific magnetic graphics.

The well-known Schwab cottage feeling was to be retained. To improve the ambience, the small shingle roof was removed, the existing slabs on the walls stayed, but the colours were changed and wood was added on the ceiling and on the floor.

On offer is a so-called run concierge who can provide personal running advice, a diagnosis or private running classes, a stylist who’s readily available to make you look good even when you’re breaking sweat, and bra fitting for the ladies. Also on the premises is a tee design studio where to customize t-shirts, and last but not least a NIKEiD studio brimming with the latest nike footwear.

On site, euro-pallets were stacked up to create tables, spruce planks were used as wall panelling and clothes are suspended on chains in the staircase. Pre-designed stencils were used to write cheeky slogans onto furniture and walls.

ASICS MetaRun retail concept by Green Room Design

A new key retail asset was imagined and crafted in line with the concept with the help of a radiographer. The running shoe was x-rayed and stylised, resulting in an image that was able to communicate all the details, features and the R&D investment in one stunning, unique key-visual.
