Judges loved the simplicity of this retail environment that used materials and space to create an upscale impression focused on the brand and marketing for the mobile communications retailer. Targeting two key customer groups, fashion and business, designers created a relaxing, informative and welcoming space to contrast with the cutting-edge merchandise and services.

Sneakerology by Facet studio

In each of the 200mm x 600mm boxes, one by one, sneakers are carefully collected. The boxes are repeated, and offset by half unit on each level, and carried through repeatedly over an entire wall. Something which has little meaning on its own, when repeated 281 times over, it creates a euphoric effect for one to experience a heightened emotion.

Creating a variety of spaces to help with that goal, shoppers now can see the jeans in its 22 stages of washing in the 501 area, view art exhibitions in the Origin Gallery, and enjoy a personalized way to buy jeans in the Inspection Room, where leg forms dressed in each available jean style show buyers fit and color.

The Porsche Design Group (Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG), Stuttgart, opened a new Porsche Design franchise store in San Francisco. The store at 100 Grant Avenue close by the Union Square offers the full range of Porsche Design products and is located in the city’s top luxury shopping district.

Following the success of the three other new concept stores designed by Gascoignes, Glassons were keen to make a strong statement on New Zealand’s premium fashion street with a high level of design and detail, plus a few surprises.

Vans Store at Covent Garden, London

Here are the inside views of the new Vans Store located at Covent Garden in London. Measuring to 160 square metres, the new store at 3 Earlham Street stocks fully comprehensive range of footwear and apparel products. Much more, the store features the Vans Waffle shoe wall, checkerboard decals, and just about every other notable visual reminder of the Vans trademark.

ESPRIT Flagship Store by J. Tucci, New York

The complex retail build-out included the construction of 18,000 square feet of sales floor in a three-story retail building, including a finished basement and two full floors on the first and second levels. The project design, required a compressed work schedule and a series of logistical issues that impacted the project schedule, including an alteration of the building to allow for a unique high-design staircase, a focal point of the modern store design.

Striving to create a luxurious, modern space with a touch of majesty, designers created a boutique experience in Donato’s flagship location. The salon’s reception area features a marble reception desk and shaded chandeliers reflecting from a backdrop mirror set in black matte wall detailed with moulding.
