Our idea for the Bright Young Things concept store and window display was to create a simple mix of ephemeral inflatable modules and timeless marble forms. These modules, inspired by ephemeral structures from the 1960′s, play with the transparency and weight of materials.

Southbank Centre Advent Calendar by Ffion Harman, London

Created from 24 individual packing crates, shaped to look like houses and each covered in bold vintage and contemporary fabrics the installation will turn into a functioning calendar from December 1 when each day the boxes will be opened up to reveal an artwork installation, gift idea or inspire some Christmas cheer.

Maggies Cancer Caring Centre by Cullinan Studio & Speirs + Major, Newcastle

To achieve the desired feel, as well as the necessary light levels and efficiency, the design of the lighting employs variation in light intensity as well as flexibility in control. Wall mounted fittings; low-level task lights and pendants in warm white are used throughout to provide task and accent lighting, bringing out the timber finishes and referencing domestic style in their design.

The ground floor is now one large open space with sliding glass panels, the space is multi-functional and features a reception desk by day and cocktail bar for events and at the far end of the building, the Red Bull Lounge provides a space to meet, greet and entertain guests.

Georgians Revealed exhibition by Urban Salon, London – UK

The exhibition is organized around a large X, which enables visitors to understand the interconnections between the different topics explored in the exhibition. Windows within each section allow vistas across to other sections and other exhibits to highlight the many connections between different elements of the Georgian period.

The Pavilion at the Library of Birmingham by Myerscough and Morgan, UK

Erected on site in just two weeks and entirely hand-crafted, the timber single-storey structure is topped with neon signs emblazoned with words that originated from workshops held with youth arts group Birmingham 2022.

Furla flagship store at Regent Street by HMKM, London – UK

A continuation of HMKM’s new global concept that drew its inspiration from the Furla headquarters in Bologna – a restored 18th century villa where traditional craftsmanship fuses with contemprary art and design. Its simplicity and elegance inspired HMKM to create a retailing concept that reflects the heart of Furla in a fresh and contemporary way.

HEXACOMB stand by MADE BY SUPERIOR, London

MADE designed the 6m x 6m space as a minimal retail ‘lounge’ with shelving, a hanging rail, sofas and a rather imposing, geometric mannequin. The twist was that everything on the stand, including the walls, was built using the Falconboard®.

Nestled at the back of the hotel is the reservations only Punch Room, a fumed-oak paneled den inspired by the comfort of manor house libraries and nineteenth-century London’s private clubs, yet a modern reincarnation. As the name suggests, the cocktail focus is the Punch Bowl.

Robinsons Brewery visitor centre by Urban Salon, Stockport – UK

The look and feel of the Visitor Centre and Unicorn Suite introduces the industrial nature of the active brewery with its exposed steelwork and timber floor. Within both spaces, natural materials such as European oak and copper were used to create a warm and welcoming environment to reflect the brewing heritage of the brand.

London firm Paul Crofts Studio has completed a bakery on a high street in Suffolk, UK, with a motif based on a magpie’s nest set into the douglas fir serving counter. The Two Magpies Bakery in Southwold produces fresh bread and patisserie at the back of the shop every day and the kitchen can be seen through a window onto the seating area.
