A.R.E. Awards – Visual Presentation – Visual Presentation Award
A work of art that highlights the product category, this ceiling treatment calls attention to the brand. It draws passersby into the store and inspires viral marketing. Spray painted a single white glossy finish, over 6,500 discontinued ladies’ shoes, sandals, and boots in various styles, sizes, and seasons cover the 1,120 square-foot ceiling in a random pattern. The effect took three installers three days to fasten shoes to the ceiling individually from a scaffold. With a reflection in the mirror on the right wall appearing to extend the shoe cloud, the treatment visually widens the space.
