The Bowlus Road Chief compact aluminum trailer was first designed in 1934, inspired by the efficiency and durability of aircraft design. Since then, the Road Chief has been modified to reflect up-to-date technological features while maintaining its unique aerodynamics-conscious exterior. Made from aircraft-grade aluminum that can be polished like a mirror, the trailer is shaped almost like a bullet with curved windows to maximize speed.
It is stocked with a full-sized sofa, two beds, two armchairs, a full kitchen with a fridge and microwave and a bathroom with a compactable shower. It is powered by its own battery and Wi-Fi routers for off-the-grid connection and even has a generator-run air conditioner. Weighing 2,000 pounds at almost 8 feet high and 24 feet long, the Bowlus Road Chief is the lightest travel trailer ever produced.
