Tony Bianco is renowned for fashion forward, premium womens footwear, with an admirable collection of boutiques and distributors throughout Australia. After being asked to deliver the new direction of Tony Bianco retail, Prospace Design Studios created a concept that was implemented first in Melbourne’s iconic fashion strip, Chapel St, South Yarra. The brief was to infuse the quality and detail of the product and brand, into a space that evoked the emotion and feeling of some of the worlds iconic fashion destinations – be it The Meatpacking District in NYC to the high street in London.
This was achieved through the use of a simple yet luxurious finishes palette of lime washed aged oak, black steel, supple tan leather, cement and black leather strapping. The fixture system was designed to be more a collection of furniture, featuring hand crafted brass and timber tables, shelving units with slabs of cement and monolithic plinths combining with leather screens to create multiple merchandising opportunities and a journey for the customer to discover the various ranges within the seasonal collection.
Using reclaimed solid timber slabs in the rear of the store, hand finished & stacked to create a platform for the brands latest releases, we have also created smaller intimately lit pockets within to showcase individual styles, that are showcased on recessed LED screens. The store design and attention to detail in the visual merchandising from the Tony Bianco team creates a destination within the heart of Melbourne’s fashion district.
