The designer lighting manufacturer B.lux has launched its Classics collection, consisting of revamped versions of its iconic lamps. In these updated versions B.lux has opted for attractive finishes that spotlight the quality of the materials used in their production, and adapted them to new sustainable light sources, such as LEDs.
The Classics collection is made up of the Regina, Bluebird and Olympia lighting programs. Designed by Jorge Pensi in the 1980s, these were the first polished aluminium lamps on the market, setting a trend that would spread during the following years. Currently B.lux manufactures them not only in polished aluminium, but also in a new industrial finish, very in keeping with latest trends in Design. The Bluebird desk lamp, made of aluminium and wood, is now sold in a new natural oak finish.
Featuring timeless yet highly innovative designs, the Regina, Bluebird and Olympia lamps garnered major international acclaim while marking a turning point in B.lux’s history. All these new versions can be found in the News 2014 catalogue of the Basque firm, which has been manufacturing lamps since 1980.
