This year for the first time, as an integral part of our ambition to encourage and nurture new design talent, John Lewis exhibited at Design Junction, a central event and vital element of the London Design Festival. We presented a curated collection based on our Design Collective credentials; a number of our existing in-house and collaborative designers were in attendance at the show, but also some young designers whose work we admired and recognised at this year’s New Designers exhibition. Design Collective is of course all about great design, but it’s also a grass-roots initiative encouraging newcomers to break into mass market by nurturing their talent and their stories.
