Caulder Moore have created a new store environment for Jigsaw to be launched initially in their Norwich branch. The store is in a prime location in the centre of Norwich over two floors with a wide shop front and will stock JIGSAW’s womenswear and accessories collections. The new design took its inspiration from its local history for craftsmanship and the arts. The store design has a warm and a subtle contemporary style typical of a Norfolk aesthetic, with the use of light muted palette of pastels, natural, light washed and grey stained ash. To this a mix of found and eclectic mid-century modern pieces was layered in to give a more independent discerning level of taste.

Caulder Moore designed this new store language for Jigsaw, which reflects the style of the local area and reinterprets it for a curated fashion environment. Plans are to implement the new design ethos across other sites in the UK, bringing a philosophy of retail stores as leisure spaces. Peter Ruis, Chief Executive at Jigsaw said of the new design “We wanted Jigsaw customers to be inspired and discover fashion without necessarily being dictated by catwalk trends. Our design helps own the territory of ‘cool designer brand on the high street’. It also gives a very local take on fashion providing unique, spirited destinations.” Ian Caulder, Creative Director at Caulder Moore added, “We wanted to take Jigsaw in a new direction for store environments that would be more fluid and creative while reflecting the style of the local area. Having shops across the UK means exposure to many different lifestyles and customers, and I think the new design philosophy will reflect that.”
