A top-to-toe redesign of a long-established butcher store — the new Springfield Butchers by Xtra Shiny is a conscious departure from the clinical white and stainless steel we’re so used to seeing. Featuring quarry face sandstone, reclaimed spotted gum, vintage Polish industrial lighting and black leather — the aesthetic is a tip of the hat to the agricultural heart of the industry. Large ‘butcher’ type buzzed down on a five-axis CNC router and a lovingly made cast aluminium wall sign give the space prominence in a busy retail environment.
