CallisonRTKL partnered with Interceramic to create a new brand strategy and to design showrooms that feature the company’s product lines. The Interceramic showroom provides a full-service experience for customers, allowing them to interact with the product and work with experts to create custom interior spaces. The fixtures are designed to hold an abundance of products. Customers are encouraged to interact with the product by easily opening the drawers and feeling samples.
The feature wall, inspired by the paintings of artist Piet Mondrian, highlights a number of colorfully patterned tile selections. After entering the “gallery,” customers can look at tiles in real-life settings with displays highlighting educational information. Reinforcing the gallery aura, the existing 30-FT ceiling was left exposed.
Upon entering the show room, customers are immediately greeted by sales associates, who have open offices on the sales floor. Feature displays help inform the customer of the innovative products available, while the custom library wall and large layout tables create a design workstation that showcases the entire line.
Track lighting is used throughout the showroom to highlight specific products. To define the work zones, large, round, industrial lights are placed above the tables. The kitchen and community area has unique lighting to give a residential feel.
