Since its inception two years ago, the Blushhh! boutique has quickly become a fixture for Kiev’s fashion-obsessed female demographic. Banking on the momentum, the boutique has relocated to new premises in the downtown district of Pecherskiy, and commissioned local practice Akz architectura to create a matching interior that playfully reflects its stature. The new location of Blushhh!, a ground floor unit of a five-storey residential building, measures 100 sqm. spread over three rooms. The setting is defined by a tiered plinth that runs along one side of the store, adding depth and an intriguing visual rhythm to the design.
Dipped in a light pink hue, it’s also quite distinctive as the backdrop comprises of white walls and sections covered in silver foil. Installed atop this plinth are metal frames which serve as clothing racks. Doorways are lined with slabs of mirror, and add a whimsical spatial effect to the setting. Light fixtures comprise of fluorescent tubes, and which have been installed in a variety of configurations. Blushhh! stocks a collection of Ukranian women’s apparel, accessories, shoes and homeware.
