Oarquitectos designed the offices for athletic brand Adidas, located in Santiago, Chile. The Adidas philosophy, “Create the New,” was the starting point for the design of the new office space. The challenge was to articulate and connect 4 separated areas in a new building. Design and space planning was the key to achieve this.
The office space is structured by open workstation areas and different collaboration spaces that create a rhythm throughout the office floors. “Create the New” is for this office space is a collaborative way of working with open and enclosed project rooms, informal meetings and the flexibility to meet almost anywhere in the space. In their search for a good and healthy lifestyle, Adidas has their own gym in their office space and a large cafeteria with healthy food for all employees.
Words like Speed, Key City, Open Source and Collaboration were part of the design. Speed was our inspiration for the general space. Conference rooms have their own concepts like Football, Originals, Outdoor, Running and Women. As part of the concept, “Key City” drives us to create a unique design for the Santiago offices. The reception area has the entire map of the city carved into tree white Corian panels and a perforated metal ceiling that represents the location.
The football conference room has a unique curved bench inspired by a stadium that gives the room the ability to increase the number of people attending the meeting without altering the room with extra chairs. The lighting was specially designed and fabricated for the football concept.
A second reception at the CEO’s office has a unique exhibition of Adidas World Cup footballs and other important championships. Two showrooms complete the program of this corporate space. Clean lines, speed, collaboration, a new way of living, a Gold LEED certification and the colors that the brand naturally bring, are the players of this new game.
