KARL LAGERFELD has re-opened the Munich based flagship-store with a premiere: the brand presented a new retail concept to the German customers. The design is inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s office and home with its elegant, clean aesthetic and an inviting and open feel.
The designer’s preferred materials marble, brass and black chrome create luxurious accents. A carpet with a geometric pattern reflects one he designed for his apartment. Gold-framed mirrors, red velvet armchairs, French panels and a parquet floor are inspired by his office.
Spanning 140 sqm on two floors, the store’s central element is a marble staircase with an installation of chrome frame elements in front of a black wall. The wall is used for changing photo exhibitions.
