Hal’s had been an icon of Venice culture for over 30 years. With a move to Playa Vista, the
challenge for a restaurant known as much for its artwork as for the artists that frequented it, was how to engineer a “re- invention” without losing the original customer base. Simplicity won the day with refined
attention paid to the quality and blending of materials. The many custom elements fabricated,
installed, and designed are meant only to enhance the experience of listening to some great Jazz
music while carrying on an engrossing conversation and eating an award winning meal.
