PMDL recently completed a retail space at the base of Zaha Hadid’s Morpheus Hotel in the City of Dreams, Macau. The retail space is 415m2 and houses luxury brands with distinctly different aesthetics. Brands of a similar aesthetic were placed adjacent to each other to create neighbourhoods. Conscious of the unique Morpheus brand PMDL designed the architecture to be simple and gallery like. Spatial inserts defining larger ‘superbrand’ spaces were placed against back walls. Unique fixtures are then placed to further enhance the spatial quality of these inserts. This gallery aesthetic, luxury brands, & uniquely designed pieces all within the context of the architectural landmark that is Morpheus give the customer a memorable retail experience.
