A continuously commuting demographic of discerning Manhattanites has made the Hamptons a spot where anything may be shifting into lower gear, but not style. Consequently, the area has its fair share of in-the-know boutiques, and the latest brand to supply a downtown look here is rag & bone. Occupying 3,000 sq.ft. (279 sqm.) on the lofty ground floor of a 1970s building with a classic red brick facade on one of East Hampton main thoroughfares, the rag & bone store has been designed by the brand’s in-house design team and features an open plan with a gallery-inspired showcase of the merchandise on bespoke fixtures such as modular pedestal sets, brass rails suspended by industrial straps along the ceiling’s wood beams, and custom hanging rigs to hero key looks in the S/S 2022 Collection. Wood stumps by local artisans, sculpture stands, and a variety of wall art along the front of the store reference the flourishing artist communities in the Hamptons. At the far end of the store sits a lounge area and denim bar furnished with handcrafted walnut tables, live edge wood shelving, and a custom powder coated finished cash wrap. Digital screens are installed throughout the premises showcasing branded footage. The new rag & bone boutique carries the full range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, denim, footwear, and accessories.
