Since luxury fashion group Capri Holdings acquired Versace in 2019, the Milan-based fashion house has upped its brick and mortar portfolio, opening not only a string of new boutiques across the planet, but also revamping existing ones, such as its key location in Paris. Situated on swanky avenue Montaigne, at a location it has had for many years, the Versace flagship store measures 785 sqm. (8,450 sq.ft.) spread across two floors of an early 20th-century building with an ornate classical façade. The interior design, created by the brand’s in-house design team, sees many of its signature elements freshly updated while unapologetically oozing luxury, such as marble flooring with the brand’s iconic Greca motif, walls decorated by fluted wood panels, and areas with blue carpeting and matching blue calcite marble fixtures and velvet seating. The ground floor presents Versace‘s elaborate women’s collections. A swirling marble and gold metal staircase leads to the upper floor where the full range of men’s offerings can be found. The renewal of the flagship store in the French capital is part of a new global effort to further enhance Versace‘s position as a luxury brand.
