Just a little while ago, A.P.C. expanded its retail presence in the Middle East. Following a standalone boutique in Riyadh, the Paris-based brand has opened up shop in Dubai. A collaborative effort with local retail partner Beside Group, the store occupies a unit on the second floor of Fashion Avenue, a section of curated global brands at Dubai Mall, the city’s leading shopping centre. Situated right next to the Apple store, the retail space sees an interior design by French architect and longtime collaborator Laurent Deroo. Upon entering the A.P.C. store shoppers are met by organically-shaped, terraced display crafted from stone, laden with bags and accessories, and tying in with the sales counter, display islands and floor-to-ceiling shelving unit. The austere stone flooring is counterbalanced by an infusion of light timber, captured by table and display tops, shelving, and large swaths of ceiling cladding and wall panels. Additional shelving and display units line the side walls. The new A.P.C. store carries a selection of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, bags and shoes. © superfuture
