schuh has officially reopened its stores at Meadowhall, unveiling the latest evolution of its retail concept across both schuh Adult and schuh Kids. Designed by Briggs Hillier, the updated spaces bring greater consistency and energy to the schuh store experience.
The stores not only reflect the wider schuh concept now seen across the UK, but also introduce a number of recent enhancements for greater flexibility and fluidity within the store’s merchandising.
Within schuh Kids, scaled-down midfloor fixtures and smaller seating elements have been designed to improve flexibility and better suit smaller customers. Across both spaces, central areas have been opened up, with increased spacing between fixtures, creating clearer sightlines and a more breathable environment.
Working in partnership with Floreeda, new REEFLO stand-off panels and shoe risers have been introduced. These are made from 100% recycled acrylic, combining 50% retired schuh fixtures with 50% factory offcuts.
At the rear of the stores, updated signage for both schuh Adult and schuh Kids uses faux neon lighting – a brighter LED delivering more impact. This is complemented by a new click-and-collect destination in the Adult store, clearly defined with dedicated signage for easy customer navigation.
The result is a cohesive retail environment balancing operational efficiency with an engaging schuh store experience. Customers can find the updated schuh stores at Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Sheffield, UK
