The concept for Patagonia highlights the Meatpacking District’s commercial past by incorporating locally sourced reclaimed and industrial materials to create a layering of time and history in a formerly “white box” space. The use of reclaimed timber and brick along with subway tile, raw steel, wired glass and a functioning meat rail creates connection to the historic building type that houses the store.
