Having an excellent radar for emerging shopping zones and an ability to tap into new markets, Aesop is one of few leading brands known for setting up shop in Areas less-trodden by Peers. The Australian cosmetics brand’s latest endeavour in London, a brand new outpost in the emerging neighbourhood of Hampstead, can be seen in that light. Created by Aesop’s in-house design team, the palette of the interior is modern yet well-adapted to its surrounds, featuring used molded plywood, reclaimed parquet flooring and brass detailing.
The curved timber shelving, a firm nod to the 1930s, was inspired by modernist British furniture designer Gerald Summers [1899-1967]. The walls, dipped in a subtly contrasting pastel green hue, reference the nearby lush woodlands and meadows that make up Hampstead Heath Park. The new Aesop store carries the brand’s full range of skin, body, and hair care products.
