Regardless of recent developments, Beirut continues to develop as the region’s leading luxury shopping destination. The most recent brand to arrive in town is Officina Slowear, an Italian fashion brand that rather emphasizes its cool sophistication through the use of sustainable, high-quality fabrics and timeless aesthetics, than through volatile trends. This is the brand’s very first store in the middle east, and similar to all other Officina Slowear stores it has been designed by Milan-based architect Carlo Donati.
Occupying two floors of a modern structure, the store interior has a the vibe of a plush gentleman’s den and features a subtle blend of contemporary style and mid-century elements. Vintage furniture pieces and framed photographs heighten the sense of a kind of homey hospitality. This new Officina Slowear store is very much a men’s domain as it exclusively carries the men’s collections of its four acclaimed sublabels.
