Just a few months after A.P.C. first opened up shop in Stockholm, an event we’ve covered in a previous post, A.P.C. has inaugurated a second store in town. Situated in Södermalm, widely seen as the city’s most fashionable shopping district. Occupying a lofty unit on the ground floor of a six-storey residential complex built in the mid-1930s by Swedish architects Leif Reinius and Sven Backström, the retail space features an interior design by Paris-based architect and longtime collaborator Laurent Deroo. The chosen aesthetic pairs the brand’s contemporary style with Scandinavian understatement, all captured by Douglas fir, Okoumé plywood furniture, and decorative resin panels. Window shelving units line signal the store’s design from afar, and inside, they’re mirrored by two similar units which flank an entirely timber-clad recessed store section which houses a sales counter, a comfy bench, additional tiered shelving, and two fitting rooms. The new A.P.C. store stocks selected men’s and women’s apparel items, accessories shoes and bags. © superfuture
