Singapore’s commercial interior design company, Kyoob-id, has completed an interior design project for the healthcare facilities of a renowned public hospital. The facilities that were designed include the Orthopaedic Sports and Joint Centre, the Health Assessment Centre, and the Diagnostic Radiology Centre.

In the design of the facility, located at Camden Medical Centre, patients’ comfort and recuperation were emphasisied and the Kyoob-id team utilised a low-cost yet innovative and quality material palette. Organic, fluid forms characterise the design from carpentry to loose furniture. In addition, special care for recuperating, waiting patients in terms of bum seating — ergonomic seating with hand rests — as well as priority seating are provided.

And in terms of way finding and environmental signage, bigger directional signs in larger typeface and illustrations as well as brighter accent colours such as lime, aubergine, and blue are implemented for patients’ convenience and ease.
