The Frye Company flagship store by AvroKo, New York

November 3rd, 2011 by retail design blog

The design of the new NYC store is a fresh take on Frye’s heritage and includes exposed brick walls, arched insets, ornate decorative columns, ten-inch-wide reclaimed oak flooring, reclaimed barn doors, and soaring 15-foot black tin ceilings accentuated by custom-made brass lighting pendants.

The shopping displays for the boots include a mix of wood, banker wire, and steel, inspired by vintage, workshops, machinery and tools. And the accents, like the large pieces of artwork, the lush rugs, and the rich leather sofas, create a warm and inviting shopping environment.

The large NYC store was opened to accommodate a full range of Frye’s most sought after well-known styles, as well as the newest collections of shoes and boots for men, women, and children. Frye is also planning to expand their products to include handbags, belts, and other accessories, as well as an incredible men’s collection.
