While observing pieces of the furniture collection EQUUS I thought of certain strange rhythm. It turns out that the whole collection started with an inspiration from the wooden shear legs, that now can be found in every item of the collection.

The EQUUS furniture collection by GROOBE is based on the principle of a constructor that allows you to create the perfect piece you need. Each object is built from quite simple thought well-designed elements, that are both practical and aesthetic. Its characteristics are clear lines and a rather minimalistic layout, but still surprises with unconventional solutions.

During the creation of pieces, especially in the junctures, screws or glue are avoided. Instead an ancient method of joinery is used, which makes the EQUUS collection very mobile. The elements are produced from an ash-tree that is suitable for frequent assembling and disassembling, and the material is both sustainable and easily recyclable. The collection contains benches, tables, shelves, trestles, wardrobe items as well as kitchen furniture that can be easily adjusted to your needs and demands.

The brand GROOBE was created in 2012 by Latvian furniture designer and sculptor Armands Grūbe. The brand has grown from a family-business that has been related with craftsmanship for eleven generations. It is easy to detect the meaning of tradition, sustainability and respect for individuality in the whole concept of the brand.
