Max Mara flagship store by Duccio Grassi Architects, Vancouver – Canada

The Max Mara Fashion Group franchisee, Vestis Fashion Group, opted for the lighting technology of Reggiani Illuminazione for the new flagship store opened in March in the Canadian city of Vancouver. Located on the extremely central Granville Street, the MaxMara flagship store covers a total area of 260 m2 inside a fully renovated space, which required painstaking work in terms of styling and layout, also because it is the first store in Canada to have a section devoted to the Bridal collection.

The brand’s choice in furnishings and design concept, conceived by Duccio Grassi Architects, draws inspiration from an elegant and contemporary style, marked by white surfaces and minimalism alternated with the clever use of wood, all heightened and underlined by the lighting project. The Reggiani luminaires blend in with the furnishings and focus attention on the garments and accessories, the real protagonists of the store.

The lighting project involved the use of Mosaico luminaires – with different light sources: metal halides, halogens and LEDs, in 39W MH, 75W AR111 and 16W LED – with adjustable and fixed Re Low.
Thanks to this variety, extremely high colour rendering has been achieved, with a focus on the shades of colour that make the brand unique worldwide.

Mosaico is also equipped with the exclusive IOS® (Interchangeable Optical System) which allows for an even and flexible distribution of light, adaptable to the specific application needs of all parts of the store. The opening of the store last March met with unprecedented success for the famous Italian brand, one of the leaders in promoting Made in Italy products worldwide, like Reggiani Illuminazione.
