Ari Running store by Whitespace, Bangkok – Thailand

July 5th, 2015 by retail design blog

Building on the success of Whitespace-designed Ari Football concept stores, which were designed for real footballers, Ari asked Whitespace to develop a store to attract, inspire and serve real runners– those who are truly passionate about the sport. A minimal and welcoming environment sets Ari Running apart from surrounding shops and competitors. The distinctive store design and product selection attracts novice to experienced runners to come in and find the perfect pair of athletic shoes.

Bright arrow shaped lights on the ceiling and running lanes painted on the floor evoke a sense of motion and fitness as soon as the customer walks through the welcoming open storefront. Each section of the store is clearly defined making it easier for new and returning customers to find what they are looking for with ease. The shoes are organized on clean and non-distracting displays calling attention to their design and making them accessible for customers to try on. Helpful and knowledgeable staffs are there to assist customers and give recommendations when needed to ensure that shoppers find the best fitting pair of running shoes.

When shopping at Ari Running customers will find that the store is made up of three brand-signature elements:
1. Specialty running shoe showcase – In addition to the regular shoe collection sold in the shop, there is the specialty running shoe showcase with limited edition shoes that cannot be found in competitor stores.
2. Ari Running Lab, where computerized analysis of a runner’s gait help to inform staff recommendations.
3. Ari Running Customization Workshop, for screening and embroidery. The Ari Customization Workshop is an Ari brand-signature at all stores.
After customers have their gait analyzed, browse the specialty collection, and select the perfect pair of shoes to have embroidered all inside the minimal environment they will leave having had a memorable shopping experience worthy of sharing with their friends.

  1. The organization of a competition is measured by the size of the shoes, I like to see how it looks this store
