Tartela has been working from 1992 as professional bakery for caterings and weddings. The owners ask me to create a space where people from the street can enjoy their creations with a good coffee or cup of tea. Their key words were ‘we want a cosy and bright space’. The colour palette goes from the stone white to the cobalt blue. The main element is the long bar. It was made with blue and white vintage ceramics for the front and a wood top.

They want a polyvalent distribution, tables can be join in front of the wood bench or separated depending of the clients. A big wood French table also is in the middle of the room. Bathroom doors are antique and restored. I found an antique oven iron door and we clean it and have used as decoration. Also a few old drawers have been used as shelves. The pillar is cover with an amazing wall paper (looks as old ceramic tiles) from Wall&Decó. the chairs were painted with the ‘deeping’ technique. All the lights are vintage with warm colour bulbs.
