Proper Cloth Offices by Fogarty Finger, New York City – USA

August 10th, 2017 by retail design blog

Fogarty Finger designed the offices of mens fashion company Proper Cloth, located in New York City, New York.

Fogarty Finger worked closely with the made-to-measure retailer Proper Cloth to update their headquarters in an inviting SoHo loft space. Housed within their headquarters is both a showroom for customers to browse high-end menswear in a tailored retail environment as well as a workspace for the sales, operation, and design team of the company.

The showroom look and feel is very clean and sophisticated with warm detailing that creates an inviting intimacy. Baltic birch wood was brought in for all millwork, bringing light into the re-purposed elements of exposed stripped cast-iron columns and vaulted ceilings. Light coves at each of the vaults emphasizes and celebrates the unique architecture of the space. The final design is an elegant juxtaposition between light and dark with new and old elements.
