The name ‘Waffles’ is a tribute to vintage sneakers from the ‘70s and a promise to potential customers that their feet are in for a real treat. We wanted to craft an environment similar to that of a candy store. White tiles covering both the wall behind the counter and the counter itself generate the desired atmosphere.

All shelves are in the form of simplified waffles: the material used is coated foam, which refers to the pliancy of sneaker soles, especially those found on earlier models. A reflective backdrop allows shoppers to see shoes from both sides. What’s more, the experience of shopping at Waffles is enhanced with the delicious aroma of waffles sprayed throughout the shop each day.
