The Florence, Italy-based architectural design firm Ivan Cipriani Associati was commissioned by the Swatch Group to create a retail concept for ck Calvin Klein Watches and Jewelry. The store’s fixture concept was predicated on creating a physical environment that maintained the iconic design philosophy of the Calvin Klein brand. The materials and elements, such as minimalism and linearity, were chosen to create a refined, elegant space for this product class.

The elegant gray materials palette is comprised of stained ash-wood cabinetry, as well as pietra serena stone wall cladding and flooring. The space also features a signature blue element as a table. The main feature of the design concept is a series of offset linear glass vitrines that float within a field of full-height cabinetry. The composition offers a dynamic, yet structured, display of the product, while the cabinetry allows for storage space above and below.

The storefront fascias and central column on the exterior of the store are clad in the pietra serena stone to reinforce and extend the brand image to the exterior. The white high-gloss, lacquered-wood display case is set behind the storefront vitrine and appears to float in the window, offering a counterpoint to the overall gray color scheme within the boutique. After London and Hong Kong, this store in Taipei, Taiwan, was the third international sales point built for ck Calvin Klein Watches and Jewelry.
