The retail design is inspired by ubiquitous paper coffee cup. This commercial design is really sleek but tamed, striking but not rigid and most of all it evokes a welcoming sense. It is almost like a magnet to visitors maybe because they are curious about what’s inside the store or perhaps maybe because the interior design is very unique and authentic.

A-CH has design a store that’s too original and it’s no wonder why it grabbed the prestigious award. The store space has been given unique personality. The design team from A-CH created a concept unique but complementary to this design for retail. For me, it is a beautiful store considering that the once vacant shop is now converted into a fully functional work of art – the Scrumptious Reads is indeed a masterpiece. And, credits should be given to the design team at A-CH and other people who have pitched in whatever help they can.

The paper cup concept is very unique indeed making it an amazing store to look at yet interesting enough to catch everyone’s attention. A-CH made sure that they created a concept for the shop design that will do just that. Paper cups are found lined on walls and they also formed the base of tables and shelves.

I wonder if I can find another shop with this overly authentic design. The paper cups are everywhere from the ceiling that formed cloud-like patterns to the entire shops display shelves. The paper cups on the ceiling disguise the fluorescent lights. I also find the colorful strips across the floor very attractive. It adds to the lightened feeling throughout the shop and adds vigor to the space.
