For best friends a short shopping getaway to another city is cause for excitement. Cecil and Street One’s store concept taps into the thrill of taking a “day off.” This is the story of two friends who set off together on a daylong shopping outing in another city, discovering its sights, sounds and shops.
Taking the city in and shopping at a leisurely pace: even the welcoming storefront invites you inside for a closer look. Here furniture and store fittings convey a bright, friendly and urban atmosphere. White and grey reign supreme and are highlighted here and there in black.
All presentation elements are designed to resemble garden or café furniture, lending the store a sense of airiness. A raised garden bench provides the shop its centrepiece and always features two mannequins and items from the current collection. Additional key elements are a “fence” for displaying accessories and a tree stretching from floor to louver ceiling for communicating freshness, flexibility and nature.
The store layout alternates brand-specific zones with mixed zones. Denim wear and accessories are specially featured with highlight presentations. The urban theme is reflected in a key visual element—Dortmund’s city map. Street One and Cecil’s new 250-square metre pilot store is located at the spectacular Their Galerie shopping centre.
