In 1916 U.S. Rubber consolidated 30 footwear brands under one name. Keds was born and created an American classic: the first shoe with a soft rubber sole. The original sneaker, called “the Champion” danced its way into America’s heart. In the ’50s Keds became the go-to shoe for serious style icons like Jackie O, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. In the ’80s the Keds Champion became the comeback kid following its starring role in “Dirty Dancing”. Girls across America sought the blue label and donned it proudly.
THE FUTURE
Keds are the answer to an unmet need. There are many brave young girls looking to step out of the pack and express who they are. With a girlish silhouette and an always growing palette, Keds gives them endless possibilities to present themselves as the unique, inspiring individuals they are.
OUR MISSION
We will inspire a totally crazy love for Keds that makes her proud to wear the blue label as a badge of honour. As her partner in crime, Keds allows our brave girl to step out and shine.
