Antwerp has a new hot spot that enriches it’s title as fashion city. The multi-brand boutique DVS, created by Belgian fashion designer Dirk Van Saene, recently opened its doors in the heart of the city.

The first floor boutique sits above the iconic shoe store Coccodrillo and features a modular interior highlighted with exceptional furniture. The racks, with matching mirrors and lamps, are created by Dutch designer Maarten Baas who took his clay furniture to another level. The low wooden tables with ceramic figurines were made by Dirk Van Saene himself, who after 30 years in the Belgian avant-garde scene, created his own little universe.

The boutique reflects his affection for haute couture and embraces at the same time the refinement of a traditional boutique. The best of independent Belgian talent can be found, including Dirk’s eponymous collection, collections by Walter Van Beirendonck, complimented with sets by Frieda Degeyter, Sofie d’Hoore, Monsieur Maison and the first garments signalling Veronique Branquinho’s return to fashion.
