Pennyblack, founded in 1978, is designed, produced and distributed by Manifatture del Nord, a Max Mara Fashion Group company. Since the beginning the collection has been inspired by the true British lifestyle and it took its name from the very first postal stamp of the World. The inspiration was sporty and the items were designed paying special attention to casual wear.

Pennyblack has then evolved, staying in line with current trends but always maintaining its own distinctive identity. With its three labels (Black, Grey and Pink ), Pennyblack dresses today’s working woman, always in search of items that she can wear according to her mood and suitable to any occasion: from a day at the office to the most glamorous party. Today Pennyblack is distributed in more than 50 countries: from Europe to Far East; and from South America to Australia.

As a result of the team working of young and innovative designers from all over the World, the collections are inspired by different cultures and the international atmosphere is combined with deep roots of tailoring and taste. Creativity, design and production skills have been developed during more than thirty years’ experience. This has given birth to products that lead to quality, creativity and excellence.
