Founded in 1902, Nordiska Kompaniet is a Swedish retail institution. Its stores in Stockholm and Gothenburg cater to shoppers with a penchant for the finer things in life, and its many offerings match accordingly. On top of the retail game and continuously tweaking its concept, NK – the store’s colloquial name by the swedes – recently revamped and expanded the Hermès shop-in-shop on the ground floor of its flagship in the Swedish capital.

The new interior is in line with the aesthetics that were conceptualized for the french fashion house by Paris-based practice RDAI, featuring discreet, polished timber furnishings and glass cabinets. The renewed Hèrmes store carries the brand’s iconic range of silk scarves, in addition to leather goods, jewellery, perfumes, ties, table decorations, and select items from its women’s and men’s apparel collection.
