In a landmark building at 32 Gansevoort street, the Spanish shoe brand PIKOLINOS has opened its doors to their first store in USA, design by the multidisciplinary NY-based branding studio MERRY+VALENZUELA. The team, formed by the founders of the company Laura Valenzuela and Bea Merry, the Interior Designer Alex Perinat, and Video Artists Laia Cabrera and Isabelle Duverger, has created a wonderful Mediterranean-infused space in the heart of the Meatpacking District.
Upstairs you’ll discover three different collections: the Maasai collection, the Colors collection and the fantastic Spring / Summer shoe and bag collection. Kick back and take it all in from the chill-out area or learn more about the company history and methods in the “Pikolinos History Corner”. Downstairs in the store cellar, check out the “Maasai Lab”: video installations highlighting Maasai culture and the company’s commitment to cutting-edge technology, innovation, continuous evolution and a forward-looking vision.
The store features eco-friendly wood and sustainable materials, embodying Pikolinos’ values and commitment to the environment. Natural, Mediterranean earth tones and warm whites replicate the look and feel of Pikolinos’ home country of Spain. This charming atmosphere reflects the shoemaker’s dedication to being a leading brand known for comfort.
