Dinesen and bulthaup complement each other perfectly by virtue of a common focus on the individual customer’s wishes and the ability to strike the right balance between aesthetics and function. In 2005, when bulthaup was looking for a floor that was simple, unique and just as aesthetic as the bulthaup products for their London showroom, Dinesen Douglas was the natural choice.

A kitchen steeped in history
bulthaup is one of the world’s leading kitchen manufacturers and has renewed the kitchen as we know it. Back in 1949, the founder, Martin Bulthaup, bought a sawmill and founded a furniture factory in the German town of Bodenkirchen. The first kitchen sideboards were made here in 1951, and the company soon became renowned for high-quality craftsmanship – a quality that is still evident in the beautiful and unique bulthaup kitchen today.

Dedicated to bespoke solutions
There are many similarities between Dinesen’s and bulthaup’s historical backgrounds. Both are family-owned companies with roots in the sawmill industry and with high quality requirements. We are dedicated to creating simple, bespoke solutions, where every single detail is top quality. That creates the perfect foundation for our cooperation. And with more than 30 bulthaup showrooms featuring Dinesen floorboards around the world, Dinesen and bulthaup have proved to be the right combination.

“An important component in our cooperation with Dinesen is the high degree of authenticity that the material expresses and the honesty and unpredictability that characterises wood. The grand dimensions that match bulthaup’s expression. And the sensuous quality, which is not just apparent in the unusual appearance of the wood but also in its unique fragrance”.
Marc Eckert, bulthaup
