Premium beer makers Heineken continues their exclusive #Heineken100 program with another tasteful collaboration with Japanese denim experts NEIGHBORHOOD. Inspired by his love for motorcycles and the surrounding counterculture, Shinsuke Takizawa and his NEIGHBORHOOD label has been making premium denim for over 19 years.
“When working with Heineken on the partnership for this year’s program, NEIGHBORHOOD was one of the first brands that came to mind thanks to their signature denim collection,” said #Heineken100 Creative Director Chris Gibbs.
Takizawa cites simplicity as the basis for his inspiration for this project, he states “I wanted to use contrasting stitch colors to evoke different emotions—especially Heineken’s signature green,” and continues by saying, “I am proud to share a product that not only showcases the brand quality, but also highlights a part of my culture with a niche audience that genuinely appreciates it.”
This rigid indigo denim is featured in a narrow cut and it is finished off with the exclusive Heineken green cross-stitching, a custom green leather label, and Heineken-printed label with personalized packaging.
