In 8 weeks Dobas AG totally refurbished the retail store Jäggi Uhren & Bijouterie AG in Chur – Switzerland. Our challenges were to realize a shopping experience in a luxurious ambiance with Alpine flair reflecting the local architectural style, tradition and tourism, modern but atmospheric. In addition to it the venerable retail store in down-town Chur had a difficult floor plan with a large entrance area and a long, narrow passage leading deep into the interior, massive walls and little natural light.

Dobas aim was to choose materials that produces visual accents and at the same time enhances physical well-being by creating a remarkably pleasant indoor climate. The use of Natural Clay favours the room climate because it absorbs the air humidity and releases it again if the air gets too dry. Thanks to the gentle white hues and the complementary lighting concept, jewelry and watches are always in the limelight. The seemingly floating wall showcases form an analogy with the deep-set windows of historic buildings in Graubünden, making it possible to accommodate the identities of high-end brands such as IWC, Blancpain, and Chopard.

The total refurbishment of Jäggi Uhren & Bijouterie AG was very well perceived. The ambiance is hospitable and appeals to long-standing customers as well as tourists from all over the world.
